How Do Kinetic Fridge Magnets Work?
The secret is the layered construction. A fixed head hides the magnet and mechanism, while two body layers move freely on a post. Give a little nudge and watch the wiggle! Here's the Santa exploded assembly view:
Don't glue the moving parts! Parts 3 and 4 need to slide freely on the post. Glue only designated fixed connections. Two post options accommodate different material fits, including 1/8-inch birch, acrylic and MDF.
