ONE PROJECT. SEVEN DAYS OF CONTENT.
Stop stressing about what to post! We're showing you how to turn ONE project into an entire WEEK of content for your craft business.
What's Up, Make It Mafia!? 👋
Let's talk about something that trips up almost EVERY small business owner.
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO POST TODAY?!
You know you need to be consistent on social media. You've heard us say it a hundred times!
But between cutting, painting, assembling, packaging orders, managing customers, and actually running your business, who has time to come up with something NEW to post every single day?
Here's the good news.
You don't need seven different projects to create seven days of content. You just need ONE!
In this week's Master It Motivational Monday, we're showing you how to take a single Test Cut Tuesday project and turn it into an entire WEEK of social media content.
And the best part? You're already doing most of the work!

The 7-Day Content Challenge
Here's the idea.
Take ONE project you're already making, whether it's a door hanger, porch leaner, shelf sitter, ornament, or something completely different.
Instead of making it, snapping one finished photo, and moving on to the next thing, we're going to document the entire process.
One project. Seven posts. Seven opportunities to connect with your customers.
DAY 1: The Sneak Peek 👀
GOAL: Build curiosity.
Don't show everyone the entire finished project just yet!
Give them a little teaser:
- A close-up of one painted piece
- A little corner of the design
- A glimpse of the layered 3D details
- A few paint colors sitting on your workbench
You're giving people just enough to make them curious.
"Something NEW is coming out of the workshop! 👀 Any guesses what we're making this week?"
PRO TIP: You'll probably want to work a few days ahead so you have something to tease. Once you get into a rhythm, this becomes much easier!
DAY 2: The Laser Cutting Process 🔥
GOAL: Show the work behind the product.
It's time to let people see how your project comes to life!
Set up your phone and record the laser cutting your pieces.
You don't have to show the entire 45-minute cut. Nobody needs to sit through that unless they're REALLY into watching lasers. 😂
Use your phone's time-lapse or hyperlapse feature to speed things up.
Turn that long cutting process into a short, satisfying video.
"From a sheet of wood to something pretty awesome! 🔥 Here's how this week's project starts. Wait until you see what these pieces become!"
PRO TIP: Record from different angles. Get a close-up of the laser cutting, then show the pieces laid out together.
DAY 3: Let's Paint! 🎨
GOAL: Show your craftsmanship and build connections.
Now we're adding some COLOR!
Record yourself painting the pieces, or better yet, go LIVE and invite people into your workshop.
Talk about:
- Why you chose those colors
- Your favorite painting techniques
- How you decide which pieces get which colors
- Tips for painting small details
Speed up your painting footage and turn it into a satisfying Reel.
And here's the important part.
STOP when the pieces are painted!
You don't need to show the finished sign yet. That's tomorrow's content!
"Time to bring this project to life with COLOR! 🎨 What do you guys think of this color combination?"
DAY 4: The Assembly 🧩
GOAL: Show the transformation.
This is where everything starts coming together!
Lay out all your painted pieces and record yourself assembling the project.
People LOVE watching individual pieces turn into something beautiful.
Show the layering, gluing, and placement of the different elements.
This is also a great opportunity to explain what makes your handmade products special.
"Okay, NOW it's starting to look like something! 😍 There's just something so satisfying about watching all those little pieces come together!"
PRO TIP: Film from directly overhead if possible. It gives viewers a great view of the entire assembly process.
DAY 5: The Finishing Touches 🎀
GOAL: Highlight the details that make your product special.
Your sign is assembled, but we're not quite finished!
Today we're adding those final touches.
Show how you:
- Choose coordinating ribbons
- Make a bow
- Attach the hanger
- Add decorative embellishments
- Prepare the product for display
You could even show two or three ribbon combinations and ask your audience which one they like best.
"Help us decide! 🎀 Which ribbon would YOU choose for this door hanger? Option 1 or Option 2?"
BONUS: Questions like this give people an easy reason to comment and interact with your business.
DAY 6: Show It in Action! 🏡
GOAL: Help customers imagine owning your product.
Now that your project is completely finished, let's show it where it belongs!
Hang that door hanger on a beautiful front door.
Put your shelf sitter on a mantel.
Show your porch leaner on a welcoming front porch.
Take a few great pictures or record a short video.
Don't have the perfect porch or beautifully decorated house?
You can use AI to create realistic product lifestyle photos!
We've talked about this during some of our Make It Mafia Zoom calls.
The important thing is to start with a good photograph of your ACTUAL finished product and use AI to place it in an attractive setting.
You can show the same product in several different environments so customers can imagine different ways to use it.
"Remember that project we've been working on all week? HERE IT IS! 😍 Where would you hang this one?"
PRO TIP: Keep your actual product accurate in AI-generated scenes. Customers should receive the same design, colors, and details they see in your photos.
DAY 7: Choose Your Own Adventure! 🚀
GOAL: Turn attention into a business opportunity.
This is where you choose what makes the most sense for YOUR business.
OPTION 1: Show a Different Size
Take that door hanger and show a smaller tabletop version.
Maybe you've created a matching shelf sitter or mini sign.
Let your audience see how the same design can work in different sizes.
OPTION 2: Show the DIY Kit
Do you sell unfinished kits?
Show your project packaged in a box with all the pieces ready to paint.
Add some paint, brushes, and maybe a little shredded paper for presentation.
Show customers how much fun they could have making one themselves!
OPTION 3: Promote Your Next Craft Show
If you're heading to a craft show this weekend, use that finished product to let people know where they can find you!
"This beauty will be available at our show this Saturday! Come see us!"
OPTION 4: Create the Complete Process Reel
This is one of our FAVORITES!
Take all the footage you've been recording throughout the week and combine it into ONE satisfying video.
- Start with the completed project for 1-2 seconds.
- Jump into the laser cutting.
- Show the painting process.
- Show the assembly.
- Add the bow and finishing touches.
- Finish with a beautiful product reveal.
Keep it under a minute, add some upbeat music, and you've got a great piece of content for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, or TikTok!

SEVEN DAYS OF CONTENT FROM ONE PROJECT!
The Real Lesson: Stop Creating More Work for Yourself
Here's what we really want you to take away from this week's Motivational Monday.
You don't need to make MORE products to create MORE content.
You need to get better at documenting what you're ALREADY doing.
Think about how much work goes into creating one handmade product.
You design it. You cut it. You paint it. You assemble it. You finish it.
And then what do most of us do?
We snap ONE picture, post it on Facebook, and move on.
YOU GUYS! You're leaving SO MUCH CONTENT on the table! 😂
Your customers don't just want to see what you're selling.
They want to see the person behind the business.
They want to know how things are made.
They want to see your creativity, your process, and the care that goes into your products.
The more consistently you show up, the more familiar you become.
And when someone needs a handmade gift, a seasonal door hanger, or something special for their home, you want YOUR business to be the one they remember.
That's how you start building relationships with potential customers.
And relationships help build a sustainable business.
