About Kim & Garrett Make It
Helping Makers Create, Sell, and Grow
Kim & Garrett Make It is where laser crafting, creative business, and real shop experience come together.
We are Kim and Garrett, the makers behind Kim & Garrett Make It. What started as a creative shop has grown into a place where laser owners, crafters, side hustlers, and small business owners can find project ideas, digital files, tutorials, supplies, training, and encouragement to keep making.
Our goal is simple: help makers turn ideas into finished products they are proud to create, gift, display, and sell.
Around here, we love a good project, a smart shortcut, a clean cut file, a solid paint finish, and a business idea that actually makes sense. We also believe that making should be fun, even when the laser is being dramatic and the paintbrush has somehow vanished again.
What We Do
Kim & Garrett Make It creates laser-ready digital files, DIY kits, finished products, tutorials, business training, product testing, and maker-focused content for people who want to do more with their creative tools.
Whether you are just getting started with your laser or trying to build a more profitable maker business, we are here to help you learn faster, waste less, and make products that customers understand.

Who We Help
We create for makers who want more than random inspiration. We help people who want to make better products, understand their tools, improve their workflow, and build something that can grow.
You might be here because you:
- Just bought a laser and have no idea where to start
- Want laser files that are actually designed to cut and assemble
- Need project ideas for craft shows, gifts, markets, or online sales
- Are trying to turn your hobby into a real business
- Want to make finished products faster and with less wasted material
- Need practical advice from people who are actually doing the work
- Love making things and want a creative community that gets it
Our Approach
We believe makers need more than pretty pictures. They need real examples, clear instructions, tested ideas, and practical business guidance.
That is why so much of what we do connects together. A YouTube project may lead to a digital file. A digital file may pair with Swift Fox materials. A finished piece may use Foxy Hues paint. A new idea may become a Laser Loot Box mission. A product that sells may become part of your business.
We want to help you move from “that looks cool” to “I can make that” to “I can sell that.”
Made in a Real Shop
Our ideas come from the work we do in our own shop. We cut, paint, test, film, package, ship, teach, troubleshoot, and occasionally stare at a project wondering why we made it harder than it needed to be.
That real-shop experience matters. It helps us create files, products, and training that are practical for makers who are working with actual machines, actual materials, actual customers, and actual deadlines.
We are not here to pretend every project is perfect the first time. We are here to help you keep learning, keep improving, and keep making.
The Make It Mindset
Around here, “Make It” means more than finishing a project.
It means testing the idea, learning the tool, fixing the mistake, improving the process, finding the buyer, and trying again when something does not go exactly as planned.
It means you do not have to know everything before you start. You just need a good idea, a little guidance, and enough curiosity to fire the laser and figure it out.
